Welcome to Fern Grove Early Learning Centre

At Fern Grove Early Learning Centre we have a wonderful family of children, parents, whaanau and teachers. We have two interesting and inviting learning environments. The first one is our Koru Room where we have our babies up to two years old and then our Fern Room where they are two to five years old.

Our aim is to offer children and their families a quality education programme firmly embedded within the bicultural and multicultural diversity of Aotearoa.

Koru Room (aged babies to 2/3 years)

Welcome to the Koru room where we nurture care and educate babies until they are approximately 2 years old. We have primary care for our young babies and our respectful practice is based on Emmi Pikler’s philosophy.
We believe that a child's play is their work!

Fern Room (Aged 2/3 years to school age)

Kia Ora. Welcome to the Fern room. This room is for children aged 2/3 years until they go to school (whether that be at 5 or 6 years of age).

We provide a mixture of free play and structured activities that are both child and teacher initiated, based on the Early Childhood Curriculum Te Whaariki.
